Pierre Boulanger

University of Washington

Dr. Boulanger has more than 40 years of experience in 3D computer vision, multi-modal medical imaging, and more recently in the applications of quantum computing to image processing. Dr. Boulanger has dual appointments as a professor at the University of Alberta Department of Computing Science and the Department of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging. He holds both the position of Director of the Advanced Human-Computer Interface Laboratory and Scientific Director of the SERVIER Virtual Cardiac Centre. His main research topics are on the development of new techniques for medical image processing and patient-specific modeling using sensor fusion and quantum computing. His work has contributed to gain international recognition in this field, publishing more than 400 scientific papers and collaborating with numerous universities, research labs, and industrial companies across the world. Dr. Boulanger is a member of numerous international committees and frequently presents lectures on computational medicine and the application of quantum image processing.
