In this presentation, we will explore the evolving landscape of Quantum Computing Education, focusing on the critical skills and knowledge that students need to succeed in this rapidly growing field. As the program director for a professional master's in Quantum Computing at University of Calgary, I will introduce our program's comprehensive curriculum, which includes courses in quantum software, applications of quantum computing, and the business aspects of the quantum computing industry. We will discuss the competencies required for students to effectively enter the quantum computing market and highlight the potential job opportunities available in this emerging sector. This talk aims to provide a clear understanding of how educational programs are preparing the next generation of quantum professionals to meet industry demands.
